1. How does bookandhelp.com work?
We are affiliate partners of the hotel reservations site "booking.com". We receive a commission
from booking.com when you make a reservation through our site and actually use it, staying at the hotel. We then use this
commission to make a donation to the organization that you have chosen.
2. Will I have to pay more because you
are donating money?
No. What you pay using our site is exactly the same that you would pay using booking.com directly. Moreover, booking.com wants
you to pay the lowest price on the internet. After your booking, if you find a lower price in another site,
booking.com will match it. See the conditions on the
booking.com site.
3. How much will you donate to the organization I
choose?
We will give at least 2 Euros per night, if you actually stay and pay for the nights reserved.
4. Why do you say "at least"
2 Euros per night?
If you simply book a hotel through our page, we will donate 2 Euros per night to the organization. If, after the
reservation, you send us your e-mail address and the total booking amount (to
form@bookandhelp.com), we will donate 2 %
of the total, if it is more advantageous for the organization. Please send us this information before your stay.
5. Why don't
you always give 2 %, when this is more advantageous?
Our partner's privacy policy does not allow them to give us your contact
details or the total booking amount. So, we cannot calculate 2 % of this amount. For us to do this, we need you to send
us this information.
6. Do I have to pay any reservation fee?
No. No reservation fees are charged.
7. I do not have a credit
card. Can I make a reservation?
No. Unfortunatelly a valid credit card is required by the booking agency.
8. Do I
need to give my credit card details? Why?
Yes. In our partner's page (booking.com) you will need to input your credit
card details. They will be securely transmitted to the hotel. The hotel needs this information to guarantee your reservation in the
event of a late cancelation or no show. The hotel can decide to pre-authorize your card to ensure that it is valid and has sufficient
funds.
9. How secure is this booking?
Your credit card information is sent to our partner (booking.com) through a secure connection.
Booking.com uses the latest, most secure technology available, which encrypts your personal and credit card details. The encryption
method used is the industry standard "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) technology. The SSL certificate has been issued by Thawte.
10. How
do I know my reservation is confirmed?
At the end of the booking process you need to press "make the reservation". You will then see
a confirmation page with your booking number and PIN code. Your reservation is now confirmed. You will receive a confirmation
by e-mail. For future reference, please print or write the booking number and PIN code down.
11. How do I cancel or change my reservation?
Logon to My Booking. Use the link provided in the confirmation email or go to booking.com
main web page. On your My Booking page select My Booking Self Service. Click on "change" to modify or "cancel"
to cancel. Hotel cancellation fees may apply.
